Can you put more effort?

Before I continue the writing, first of all I would like to clarify that I am not very particular on food. I can't differentiate a frozen fish or a fresh fish when I'm having fish. Maybe thats why I hate fish, the only fish I like is stingray, especially Portugal grilled stingray, yum yum, damn nice. By the way, for those fans of Mid Valley's Portugal grilled fish, good news for you all, the stall is back to Mid Valley's food court again, I hope it is as delicious as previous after it has missing for sometime.

Basically, when I say the food is good, and it is really good in my point of view, I believe it will be very heavy taste. Most of the time, you will heard me telling you "Ok" or "normal". Well, it mean nothing special about the food, can try to eat, wouldn't leave any memory and wouldn't miss that food also. But, I found that recently I start to complain about food. trust me, my sensor is as bad as previous. Then, why and what make me start complain?

When you go to the food court, try to look at the stalls and tell me how many stall is actually managed by local chef? Most of the time you saw an Indon is preparing wan tan mee, a Bangla is serving bah kut teh, or a Burmese is cooking ho po lui char. More and more difficult to get a stall which is cook by a local people, and so far those food stall that I categorized as good is definitely own and cook by local people.

When people cook to make money, their food will be tasteless. Because their main objective is to make money and not to please their customer. In other words, they reduce the cost of material, shorten the time of preparation and use unprofessional cook, and trust me, base on the law of natural, it wouldn't be good. Well, it is not Win7, therefore there is such thing as the "new" efficiency - doing more with less.

I believe this world is fair, at least fair enough in most of the time. When you put more effort on something, the result will not disappoints you much. But if you are those people waiting the lucky to drop from the sky and you are so luckily pick it up and so luckily bring more luck to you, you can continue to dream this on, but don't count me in :)

Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.

Personal privacy

According to the Internet news, 61% of Japan wives have checked their husband's mobile phone for evident of extramarital affair, curiosity and honesty. In other words, they don't trust their husband.

Some people said, for a girl to check her boy friend's mobile phone is caring, and for guy to check his girl friend's mobile phone is a bad personality. I believe this is true under certain circumstances. But just a advice to all the girls, do this in front of your boy friend instead of do it secretly, if and only if you're lack of confident in your boy friend. And for guys, please delete those sensitive data from your personal mobile phone if you don't want to be caught red-handed :p and remember to do this for email and chatting application like Skype, MSN and Yahoo Messenger also.

I am not a hacker, but if I want to know your secret is just like open a can of Coke. Lot of my friend asking me to fix their PC, and with the knowledge I have, they are like standing naked in front of me once I put my hand on your PC. Anyway, don't worry until now I still holding my principles to avoid touching people's privacy. I am a friend not a hacker. This remind me of Edison and Gillian case, haha, no one trust PC technician after that incident. Anyway, if you want to destroy the HDD data, the only way is to melt it, don't just delete and put in the recycle bin or even emptied recycle bin can be recycled :p

So, start to trust your partner and respect their privacy, although you are their closest person, it doesn't mean you can break into his/her boundary to look at their secrets and privacy. Everyone have their own secrets that they only want to keep for themselves.

Noah's Ark

Lord said to Noah, "There's gonna be a flood."

And the Lord spoke to Noah and said "In six months I'm going to make it rain until the whole earth is covered with water and all the evil people are destroyed. But I want to save a few good people, and two of every kind of living thing on the planet. I am telling you to build yourself an Ark" said the Lord. And in a flash of lightning He delivered the specifications for the Ark.

"OK," said Noah, trembling in fear and fumbling with the blueprints.

"Six months, and then it will start to rain" said the Lord. "You should have your Ark completed, or learn how to swim for a very long time."

And six months passed. The skies began to cloud up and rain began to fall. The Lord saw that Noah was sitting in his front yard, weeping. And there was no Ark.

"Noah," shouted the Lord, "Where is your Ark?" A lightning bolt crashed into the ground next to Noah, for emphasis.

"Lord, please forgive me," begged Noah. "I did my best. But there were big problems. First, I had to get a building permit for the Ark construction project, and your plans didn't meet Code. So I had to hire an engineer to redraw the plans.

"Then I got into a big fight over whether or not the Ark needed a fire sprinkler system.

"My neighbors objected, claiming I was violating zoning by building the Ark in my front yard, So I had to get a variance from the city planning commission.

"Then I had a big problem getting enough wood for the Ark because there was a ban on cutting trees to save the Spotted Owl. I had to convince U.S. Fish & Wildlife that I needed the wood to save the Owls. But they wouldn't let me catch any owls. So, no owls.

Then the carpenters formed a union and went on strike. I had to negotiate a settlement with the National Labor Relations Board before anyone would pick up a saw or a hammer. Now we've got 16 carpenters going on the boat, and still no owls.

"Then I started gathering up the animals, and got sued by an animals rights group. They objected to me taking only two of each kind.

"Just when I got the suit dismissed, EPA notified me that I couldn't complete the Ark without filing an environmental impact statement on your proposed Flood. They didn't take kindly to the idea that they had no jurisdiction over the conduct of a Supreme Being.

"The Army Corps of Engineers wanted a map of the proposed new flood plan. I sent them a globe.

"Right now I'm still trying to resolve a complaint from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission over how many Croatians I'm supposed to hire, the IRS has seized all my assets claiming I'm trying to avoid paying taxes by leaving the country, and I just got a notice from the state about owing some kind of use tax.

"I really don't think I can finish the Ark for at least another five years," Noah wailed.

The sky began to clear. The sun began to shine. A rainbow arched across the sky. Noah looked up and smiled. "You mean you're not going to destroy the earth?" Noah asked, hopefully.

"Wrong!' thundered the Lord. "But being Lord of the Universe has its advantages. I fully intend to smite the Earth, but with something far worse than a Flood. Something Man invented himself."

"What's that?" asked Noah.

There was a long pause, and then the Lord spaketh his last Word: "Government."

This is a good one, hahahahahah.........

Engineer and the lawyer

There was once an engineer who found a magic lamp. When he rubbed it, a genie jumped out and said to him, "You have three wishes. But there is a catch - this wish system of mine was designed by a lawyer, so whatever you wish for every lawyer in the world will get double of!"

The engineer replied, "That's no problem, I can live with that." He then said, "For my first wish, I wish I had a Ferarri."

"OK", said the genie, and a Ferarri appeared in front of the engineer. "But remember, every lawyer in the world now has 2 Ferarris," the genie told the engineer.

The engineer remained unperturbed and said, "For my second wish, I wish for a million bucks." So a million bucks appeared in front of the engineer and the genie said, "remember, every lawyer in the world now has 2 million bucks."

The engineer was non-committal and then said, "I always wished I could donate a kidney!"

Moral of this joke: never make an engineer pissed, you will get nothing at the end :)

A stupid joke

My brain: Hey, heart, I want to do this, you think it's right or not?
My heart: Ya, no problem.
My brain: Ok. But one thing, every time when I ask you, you always say ok one. I seldom hear you say no, can not. Are you sure the answer you told me is correct?
My heart: Alo, brain damage ah you, if you don't trust me, then why you ask me. You ask me for fun is it? I give answer already and you're questioning back my intelligent. Are you trying to insult me?
My brain: Hey brother, I ask only mah, want to be so angry meh? No ask lo.
My heart: Alo, you call this asking question meh? You are questioning my professional. I told you the answer already and you asking me back is my answer correct ah! If you think you can have better answer, you go do it la, why come and ask me and then trying to insult me say I might be wrong.
My brain: Brother, want to say like that meh. I just want double confirm mah, like that also can not ah? What kind of brother is this.
My heart: Alo, brain damage, don't brother here and brother there. Since when we are brother? Me and you very close meh? Brother, brother, brother with your head la.
My brain: Walao, you want to say until that meh? What brother my head? What happen to you today, so angry one, relative come ah?
My heart: Alo, you don't start insulting my privacy after you insulted my intelligent. Don't let me see you alone in the toilet. You're brain damage one, no use already, staying in this world is just wasting the resources only. If I were you, I go bang my head to the wall long time ago.
My brain: Fine, thats it. Ok, bye. stupid heart.
My heart: Idiot brain.

That day, the heart being sold to the devil to exchange for something. The brain never has chance to say goodbye to the heart. At the corner where heart stayed, he leave a message.

All these years I try to encourage you, my brother brain, to try to be positives and try to be useful to this world. Although some of you actions are not commonly accepted by others, but as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, who care about those traditional mindset. I don't know when we can meet again, I just hope you can continue the spirit even I am not around. Goodbye and take care.

Sorry if this joke is not funny, it is just a stupid joke as I told you in the title.

I like your post

I like your post, because I think it is meaningful. The way you express yourself make me admire your post.

Well, your post is so simple but yet meaningful. Sometime, it look complicated but it is actually simple; sometime it look simple but it is actually complicated. Just don't know how to describe it. But I just hope I can have your post.

Do you mind to exchange post with me?

Well, my post is also ok, just not as good as yours. Most of the time, my post just very time consuming, but sometime, I try to make it simple and short also. Well, complicated is definitely not my character. I am a simple man.

So, how? Want to exchange the post with me?

I become the DC and you become the engineer. Can? XD

My first 11km

All my friends know me that I hate sport, the only sport that I like is baseball, I don't know exactly why I love baseball, but I think one of the reason is the baseball cap. It is just cool. Too bad, Bolehland don't encourage baseball sport.

Among those sports, the one that I hate most is running. So far in my memory, I never able to finish my running test in time. I alway the last one that finish it. I hate that since primary school. I alway give myself an excuse that I'm to genius to become a sport man.

But when I getting old, I start to realize that I left too much failures and blank papers in my life. So I plan to pick it up and I want to complete it one by one before when I'm too old and I'm too late to regret.

Thanks to fanshue for accompany me to run in this 1/4 marathon, and it is the first time I complete my running in time. Nothing is more happier than you have conquered your own fear.

Thanks to 4,082,411 of Bolehlandian

Last week, our government said that to prevent us from overspend the money, so they apply tax on our credit card. The more you have, the more you need to pay. Wow, I feel so touch that our good government care about us. And because of this our government will have about extra $550 million income. Then they will use this money to improve our country like having some parties, go oversea vacation, etc.

After that, they also care about our people safety, so all cars above 15 years need to send for checking. Wow, again, I feel so touching to have such a nice government. I love them. Again the fees collected should be a huge amount of income to the country. Although we need to wait for maybe 1 week to check the car due to the limitation of the facility. And we maybe need to buy our hardworking inspector drink coffee to reduce their tiredness and to make them please.

So, hereby I would like to thanks 4,082,411 sohais in this country to vote for this bunch of sohais to govern our country. Thank you and I hope we can vote for them again.

It's Thursday night

I'm at the airport again, going back to Bolehland after almost 3 weeks away from home. I miss my home. There is not other place better than home.

it will be sometime before I travel again, I hope so. Thanks to my wild horse handle the site for me, he is a great engineer although he always complain that he want to give up his engineering life. Be proud of what you have been trained for, it another way of respecting yourself and your life.

Talking about ambition, I remember when I'm still in primary school, I wish to become inventor like Thomas Edison. I believe he is idol for lot of children. But sooner I realized that being an inventor is not an occupation and not much people can really make it. So Einstein come into my life. He is a genius and he is a humble genius. The again, I realize no everyone can become scientist, you have to be a genius and luck to finally come out with something useful to the world.

Finally, I wish myself to become an electronics engineer and I hold my dream since primary school until I make sure myself graduate as an electronics engineer. And I did.

I am not a rich guy, I need to work to earn a bowl of rice. Bolehland's engineers are mostly underpaid, and I believe I'm part of the sample that built up the statistic figure. Anyway, I don't need to beg under the bridge for my meal :)

Love your job is another way to respect your life. This world is wonderful, it is not grey colour.

Ok, battery low :)

Finland

Have been in Finland city for about 5 days, it is a very nice country. Very quiet, calm, everywhere you will see trees, green grass, flowers, lake, river, ... it is just beautiful.

I'm spending most of my evening time walking around the city, really enjoyable, although walking alone. The weather is cool, most of the time my right hand is frozen due to holding camera all the time. It's difficult to wear glove when you want to take photo, anyway, it is not that cold after awhile.

Meal time is always a difficult time for me cause I really don't know what is written in the menu. I only know something call fish, chicken, lamb and pork and I cant found these words in the menu :( People like to talk how great they are and how knowledgeable. I sit there like a kayu. I miss nasi lemak :_(

Working is tire, not because of works, as usual because of human. Well, I better forget it now.

Will be stayed at Paris for a night, will try to go Paris city to hunt the Eiffel tower :)

Ok, that all for today. Wish it is a sunny day at Paris :)

Finland

Well, it is 10.30PM already, almost 48 hours didn't sleep already. Taking night flight is killing me -.-

Finally I touch down at Finland at 2.30PM. Ok, before I forget, there is not len lui sit beside me from Dustyland to Paris (-.- someone curse me, i think), but lucky enough, no lady boy sit beside me also :p

Reach Paris around 7AM and get the transit at Terminal 2, and guess what, I'm so lucky to see a group of Japanese school girl queuing at the boarding gate there. Wow, so sweet, so kawaii, hehe. Thankew you for the consolation price.

Finland is like a very small town if looking from the plane. Not much tall buildings. What I can see from the plane is yellow and green tree and field with houses scatter around. Very nice view actually. After checked in to the hotel, I walk around the Helsinki city center area. With the cold weather (7 Deg. C) and the yellowish tree, it is just so beautiful. All the tire suddenly just disappear.

At night, I'm having dinner with the client at the restaurant (Papa Giovanni). I'm not very particular on food, so, not bad the serving, just have to wait very long time and expensive if convert the currency -.-

Ok, going to sleep now. Tomorrow not sure what will happen, hopefully is a good luck day for me again.

P.S. I saw some Japanese teens staying at same hotel, hehe, no sure...

I'm going to Finland tonight for a factory acceptance test for inverter. Thank you to FanShue for preparing the submission for me, I owe you a fridge magnet. I try to get for you this time :p

I'm flying again tonight, thanks to God that I do not need to become zookeepers tonight. And again, I implore you, my God, please mercy me by sending a lenlui to sit beside me tonight. Thankew you. Transit at Paris and will reach Helsinki in the evening.

Will be at Finland for 5 days before I back to Dustyland. This time will stay 1 night at Paris due to the connecting flight is not possible, hehe, thankew you God. And the bad news is, the sohai Toh set me up by disclose my itinerary >( I hate him >"<

Anyway, I know I'm always a good luck person, all the while I'm very good luck. Let see what happen next. I got few hours to walk in Paris and I promise to my apprentice, UMG with BS spirit, that I going to take the Eiffel tower photo for her. I hope I wouldn't disappoint her and myself.

I learn two French from Cheong, bonju when start talking to people, then miasi for thankew you. Hope I don't get lost.

I try to update this once I'm alone and free.

Taiwan: Day 1

As promise in my previous blog, I try to write down my travel story about Taiwan.

We reached Taipei airport about 4PM due to the delay of our beloved aviation, AirAsia. From the airport, we went to Taipei city by bus and we stop at the Taipei central station. From there, we went to Ximending (西门町) using LRT.

After checked in to the hotel, I found that my bag is wet -.-, the stupid AirAsia didn’t cover their customer’s luggage when they are loading it to the plane. Half of my luggage is wet. And I have to hang all my underwear around the hotel room -.-, stupid airline. The lesson here is, if you are using this stupid airline, please cover your clothes with a plastic bag before you put it into the luggage.

After settle the hotel, we went to walk around the Ximending street. A very nice place, full with youngster, especially those pretty mei mei #^.^#, very enjoyable walk. We have some snacks there, walking and eating, very relaxing night.

After filled up our tummy, we decided to go to the Taipei city and visit the famous book store ChengPin (成品). Once reached in front of the book store, we saw the Taipei 101 but without light -.- maybe they are having energy saving exercise. Well, good for our earth.

After taking some photos of the 101, I went to search for my sister souvenir, a book authored by 小S. I’m surprise my sister asked me to buy a book, basically that what she hate most. My doubt cleared after she open the book, I only realize, it’s a comic book -.-

We went back to the hotel before 12AM since that is the last LRT train we can use. While working back to hotel, we have some photo with my idol, Rainie Yang. Huan not sure is drunk or too sad, he tried to kiss her -.- and there is a CCTV monitoring these 6 sohais doing some stupid thing there :)

Well, that’s the end of day one @ Taiwan.

About love

Love is like planting an unknown seed. No one knows what kind of fruit or flower it will be until you plant it and put your effort to grow it. No one knows when it will get flowering. If you are planting a water melon, you can harvest in few months time; if it is a mango tree, maybe it takes few years; worst a durian tree, it will take long long time to wait for the harvesting.

Some plants need less care, some need more. Some plants only need you to put the seed to the earth and it will grow; other just needs extra care to prevent it from dying. No matter what plant you are planting, putting effort to watering and taking care the plant is your duty to make sure it grows up healthy.

If there is a seed in your hand, please don’t hesitate to start planting. Some seeds just can’t wait. No one can predict the future, but if you don’t take the first step to start the planting, I can predict you will just look at the dying seed.

Whether your reward will proportional to the effort you had put in, no one can tell you now, only time will tell. Even you can’t reach the harvesting stage, please thanks to him / her for their effort to being with you.

Taiwan: Prologue

Finally I went to Taiwan from 1/9/09 until 8/9/09 with another five friends for a vacation. I try to record down the interesting places that I’d been went to as much detail as I can. Hope it is useful for other reader who wants to travel to Taiwan by free and easy mode.

Before I continue on the trip detail, there is something about Taiwan.

1. About girl first, please don’t complain :p, Taiwanese girl always know how to dress themselves. Therefore, it is always a very nice view on the street with the pretty girls walking around.
2. The transportation around the Taipei city is very complete. Just get a day pass (NT180) and you can travel around Taipei city by LRT or bus. Very convenience. But if you plan to travel outside Taipei city, the best way is still get a yellow cab. Slightly expensive but save lot of time. And those taxi drivers are very familiar with that entire tourist attraction place.
3. Taiwan has various kind of snack. Try whatever you can but please bear in mind that not all snacks can meet your expectation. Anyway, no harm to try. Try to ask the local people for advice.
4. Ximending is a very nice place to stay. First of all the hotel is cheap; secondly, the transportation is very convenience. And most of the hotel is equipped with free Wi-Fi service. So bringing mininote or mobile PC is the best idea travelling around while you can online to check your email or FB or blog 
5. 7-11 is just few steps from you. You will see everywhere is 7-11, very convenience.

Ok, let go to the itinerary summary.
1/9 – Fly from LCCT to Taipei. Walking around Ximending and Taipei city.
2/9 – To JingGuaShi (金瓜石), then JiuFen (九份) then Danshui (淡水, 渔人码头) and finally Shilin night market (士林夜市).
3/9 – To TaiChong (台中), then to Puli (埔里) and stop at Sun Moon Lake (日月潭).
4/9 – From Sun Moon Lake (日月潭) to CingJing (清静) and have a night there.
5/9 – From CingJing (清静) to HeHuan mount (合欢山) then travel through very challenging mount road to HuaLian (花莲).
6/9 – From HuaLian (花莲) go back to Taroko (太鲁阁) for the wonderful Taroko. Next continue to back to Taipei through the west coast and stop at ChingShui (清水短崖) for photo taking.
7/9 – Travel around Taipei city.
8/9 – Walking around Ximending and to airport and back to Bolehland.

I will try to elaborate detail of each place in the coming blog. Hope I still able to deliver all the information I had. Ok, that all for today.
