Simple maths

We are learned that a number divided by itself is equal to unity, which is 1, e.g. 10/10 = 1. The question, is 0/0 = 1?

  1. there is no cake to be divided in the first place.
even if there is, but nobody is eating it anyway, so why divide? so no point here.

  2. u didnt answer my question. since 0.1x10^-999/0.1x10^-999 = 1, then is 0/0 = 1?

  4. -.- yaya.

    the solution.

    lets say 0/0 = x
    so 0 = x * 0
in this case, x can be any number, therefore, 0/0 is undefined in maths.
