I'm back

It have been 1 month since my last post. Lack of idea to write new blog.

I went to U.S. for about 3 weeks and I like New York. It's a very wonderful place to visit. But staying at New York is too luxury for me, cause their living cost is sky high like their buildings. If you got chance, you have to visit this wonderful city.

Other than this, my life is very plain, plain like R.O. water, no taste. I start to understand why my friend, Toh, stop updating his blog. Sometime, you can't tell whether is it deja-vu or not? Cause everyday it is repeating and repeating the same scene until you start questioning yourself that are you staying in the pass?

Anyway, like it or not, life must go on.

By the way, wishing Mr. Toh a happy birthday and I hope he can get his very first girl friend so his life can be more colourful.

I wish I don't need to work for money

I'm not complain about the work load I have, I just feel sad with the reason I work.

Happy Valentine

Today is valentine, I know that, please not need remind me and please don't ask me what is my program.

Everyone that know me and my girl know that I'm not a romantic person. If you really want to know how not romantic am I, maybe I can described myself as "kayu".

First of all I want to apology to my girl that I didn't buy any gift or flowers for her. I hope she still happy when she see me. And for dinner, hmmm... can we discuss later?

About valentine, what is valentine in the eyes of a kayu engineer?

One word, commercial.

You see, because of this day, people selling flower with double or even triple of normal price. The dinner, gift, event promotion are also more expensive than normal price.

No offend that high demand create higher price. So, shopping on valentine is meaning spending more money for same material. Therefore, some people will celebrate valentine on valentine eve. Some may celebrate on the next day. So, my question is, what is the point that celebrating valentine when it is not celebrated on 14/2?

You can cheat yourself with lot of "valid" reason, but for me, "bro, you want me to spend few hundred meh? You think I print money one ah?".

I'm not say it is wrong to celebrate on eve, what I mean is that, isn't it too commercial?

For Chinese, there are few valentines. Anyone know that?

For month 1 day 15, which is also end of lunar new year, is a valentine. Did you purchase a flower for your love one or buy her candle light dinner?

On month 7 day 7, it is another valentine. Do you know that date?

Ok, you can bomb me or curse me for so not romantic and so kayu.

If I can only show my love to you on valentine, I wish there are 365's 14th Feb. in a year.

email

My friend, Mr. Toh, ask me update my blog but don't talk about work. I try to, but I just feel missing something when I don't do that. Again, Proven I'm boring man and I got nothing to talk except work =( I hope my girl don't dump me.

Ok, I saw the movie "Just Follow Law" last few day when it's shown on the TV and I like the part about the email.



Everyday I receive almost 50-100 email and 99% of then is cc copy, which mean there two or more people talking and these peoples are so kiasi that they put some innocent people into the list either,

1. to become the witness, or
2. to become the victim

I don't know when is this culture started and believe me I hate that. But I got no choice to use that also, cause I'm also kiasi. Kiasi because someday someone will say "You got telling me about this issue? When? Got any record or not?". Trust me, without these black and white, you are death meat.

Anyway, I found out that, lot of people over use this tactic, or maybe I should say extremely kiasi.

I always telling those young engineers one thing, when I pass some info for you to work, please don't cc back these info to me cause you don't need to show me that you are working and for me, forward my info to other party DOESN'T mean you are WORKING. The only way to show me you are working is come back with result, not a cc email. I just hate people using this method to tell me they are working and at the end there is nothing coming back. What the F.

Anyway, I like to use email as another tools to buy time and also revenge. How? Just bomb that party with extremely huge size of attachments. All the email server will hang and everyone will suffer for downloading the junk info :)
Please don't use that on me, I'm a good guy :)

Lunar new year 2009

This year is a niu (cow) year, and today is 2nd day of the lunar new year. So what I did these few days?

Well, nothing much actually. First of all, I like to read about the astrology in the beginning of the year. If you ask me do I believe or not, I would say I only believe those are good and forget those are not good. It is simple, if you believe then you have it, if you don't then you wouldn't. Anyway, while you reading these astrology, basically, it is a reminder. It remind you take care you health, be careful of what you said, be careful while driving, etc.

So what astrology say about me? The fire snake. I quote this from Joey Yap web page.

I'm not a psychologist, but what I saw is that, men are very weak in handling their life, that why we have something call government, king, leader, hero, horoscope, astrology, and please forgive me if you feel uncomfortable, religion.

I don't understand why 911 happen, I also don't understand why people killing each other using the name of God.

Million of man killed because of a word from a stupid sohai. Why we need to give our life because of a drunken man or maybe a psychologically illness idiot? Can you explain to me?

According to the statistic, the most popular book is about astrology. I think everyone want to become a millionaire without putting their effort out. They just hope putting something or moving something in their house can bring wealth and luck or maybe a million dollar will drop suddenly from sky.

I believe fung shui. Basically, fung shui talk about harmonic by studying the environment. If a house have good air circulation and calm environment, it will create health. And with good health, it create wealth and happiness. It is just simple.

In science we believe that the truth can be describe by simple rule and formula. If it's too complicated, it may not be true or it's only true for very specific condition. So please don't change your front door to back because of fung shui.

The greatest team

It's fun to work with a group of peoples that have same target and same direction. The task maybe tough, but we keep on fighting till the end, cause we are the "main cont." :)

It's blogging time

Well, getting less and less seeing my friends update their blog. Mostly I guess because busy, no idea to blog, getting a more interesting hobby like photo shooting :)

Anyway, thanks for visit my blog and sorry for not giving much information (mostly are rubbish information :p) and for all blogger, it's time to update your blog.

The end of year 2008

Again, it's new year eve. Almost every year eve, I blogging about myself. So what's new this year.

Well, first of all, I still fail to marry my girl that I love for 10 years. Please don't ask me why and don't push me. Every beginning of year, I will tell my family, friends or colleague that ask me when I'm going to marry, my standard answer is end of the year. And every new year eve, I will tell everyone sorry I cheat you all again. So, if you ask me when I'm going to marry, then my answer end of next year :)

About work, well finish a huge project this year, but ... Anyway, now busy with two more mega projects at middle east. Very busy.

Last few day, my friend told me he want to get grant from government for his business. I didn't ask much cause my friend always tell me I don't help myself. I think he is right. I always tell the junior that some people work for himself and some people work for the company, it nothing wrong for both of them. Basically, it's something call loyalty. It's either you loyalty to yourself or you loyalty to the company that you work. Either one you will still get the pay and the only different is result of the work.

Anyway, forget about work today and continue talk about myself.

Still need sometime to practice. I try to post a photo for the new year eve later.

Photography

Ok, another poisoning topic to discuss :)

Anyway, not planning to write too long, just want to introduce some web page that me and my wild horse (thanks to Sam for intro these poisoning material to us) think is the best photo from internet. Too bad to tell you that, it's all in Korean. So just try you luck to click here and there to browse it blindly.

1. Healing brush
One of the best and most preferable site. Most of the photo is very well compose. And Sam favorite.

2. Photobee
Lot of nice photos but warning this site contain adult elements.

3. RaySoda
This one also contain some adult elements.

You will spend hours to look at these photos.

I discussed with Sam on what make a photo well compose.

Is it because got pretty girl? I said not 100% but pretty model do make the photo look pretty since the object/focus itself is a pretty girl. Try to imaging ML in the photo :)

Why Korean photographer can compose so nice photo? Is it because the environment is pretty? Basically I agreed that. Malaysia do have some nice place, but don't try to imaging a yellow, purple or pink color leaf dropping down from the tree. It wouldn't happen.

Train ourselves with better skill so when the model and environment is ready, it is time for us to compose the beautify photo.

DSLR part II

Back to few weeks earlier, I posted a blog on DSLR and yesterday finally I get myself one, Canon 450D at PIKOM PC fair 08.

Initially, I want to go there to survey the DSLR market and also help my sister to upgrade her PC and help her to get a printer. But once I enter the hall, the first thing in my eye is the Canon camera booth, and I know I'm dead meat. After thinking and walk around, I finally go back to that booth to get one. What is the offer?

Body and standard kit lens (18-55mm), free a Manfrotto tripod, 4G SDHC, Canon EOS bag and Ximplify web host (anyone interest to buy over from me?) and not forget a painful swap on my credit card for RM2599 (as compare to outside RM2799 and lelong.com RM2400 with shop warranty only, RM2599 is the best price I have). Actually thinking of getting a DSLR for quite sometime, just every time see but never dare to think of buying it. Well, thanks to the colleagues around me poison each other on the photography thingy and after seeing my Lumix camera, I know I can't satisfied with that machine anymore. It doesn't mean I don't like the camera, just sometime it can't perform up to my expectation. Anyway, it's a good camera that with me for so many years.

Back to what urge me for a SLR. Well, portrait. I wish to take some nice photos for my girl since she told me she is ugly every time I try to took her photo. So, I hope my new monster will help me to proof her wrong.

Ok, for my colleagues especially for my wild horse, Mr. Sam, and my lonely friend, Mr. Toh, join me to the darkness wahhahahahaha... and thanks all for poisoning each other and finally "we" won to poison the first victim, the genius (or maybe sohai) :)

Sick movie

"Thanks" to Mr.Toh for introducing a sick movie, The Other Boleyn Girl. A really sicked movie I ever watch.

1. There are no pretty girl in the movie, at least I personally didn't see any.
2. 50% of the words that they are using is not inside my dictionary.
3. And the worst, SICK story.

Make me feel sick and I can't wait to go Bahrain to kill that loser for asking me to get him this movie.

Ok, if you want to take MC tomorrow, please go watch that movie, or else don't waste your time for that stupid movie.

DSLR

Since last month, my colleague and I try to poison my wild house, Mr. Sam, to get a DSLR since he is only engineer in my office that have artistic sense. We even offer to pay for 10% of the camera price on top of all discount for a camera, anyhow the tactic did not success.

Well, from time to time we still browse through people's photo and discuss.

The first question is that, is a camera that make that photo look pretty and attractive? After do some searching, my answer is no. You can try to see this which is using Canon 5D and this which is taken using Canon 1D Mark III. The second one is surely is a rubbish, wasting time.

Ok, you may say the first one pretty cause got girl which maybe a model. Anyway, my point is without a skill and the tools (camera, lens) and the environment, a Mark III can't even beat my Lumix.

Now, second question, is lens important? The answer is yes, cause that the only way to let the camera to tell you how you (or it) see this world. I like Mr. Bokeh's photo, and he like his 55mm f1.2 lens very much. I think that lens really can let you focus on something. Anyway sometime he is over bokeh his photos. As compare to similar lens by this, for sure I like the first one although the second one is good also.

So my conclusion is, to take a photo, you need a camera; to take a nice and attractive photo, you need a camera (probably a SLR), a lens that can help you focus and emphasis the story that you want to record and tell people how you feel about the scene and the last which is most important, the skill. Without skill, these fantastic tools can't even beat Lumix FX7.

And, it is very personal taste when talking about art. Maybe a photo for you is just a normal photo but for someone else it maybe a good or a rubbish photo. Just like some people like hardrock and some just pissed with that kind of music.

Anyway, photo is the only tool that can stop the time for that moment. Take more picture and tell your grandchildren how is the world look like when you are young.

My sub-cond just informed me that he going to marry next year Feb.
Wahahahahahaha.... how stupid, end the golden bachelor life just like that. Brother, 30's is the golden age of a man, we should not end our life so easy. You must be crazy or drunk. Don't worry, I bring you to Bahrain to runaway from the wedding ceremony. No need to thanks me, brother mah.

Brother, listen to me, don't be so stupid. There are plenty and infinite of girls outside there waiting for us. How can we just end our most precious age because a girl. No way man, it can't be real.

So, listen, stop your stupidity and enjoy the life, we go mabuk this Friday with the unlimited of pretty girl outside there. OK? Deal. Good boy.
